Those of you who have patiently waited for us to clear the copyright for the post-1066 thematic unit linking the Tudors, Victorians and World War Two on the them of propaganda and manipulating evidence will be delighted to know that the unit is finally completed and the all-important Victorian section can now be included.

If you haven’t considered this as a post-1066 thematic option have a look in the outstanding lessons section of the site where it is explained.

The unit comes with a detailed rationale explaining how Y6 pupils benefit enormously from seeing how people in the past have controlled the image they want to present to the world so historians need to be sure that they don’t take sources at face value. An important lesson to be learned and not just for the history classroom, but for life! In the age of Fake News, it has never been so relevant.
