This smart task complements the existing lesson on the site using ICT . Rather than re-write the whole lesson this is added as an extra task.
Using slides 2-5 show pupils the pairs of objects – old and new versions of teddies, dolls, trains and roller skates. Sorting out which is old and which is new will not be too challenging for many pupils but articulating the reasons will demand more of them in terms of vocabulary. Try to draw out the right kinds of words from as many pupils as possible. Slide 6 shows some of the words pupils might choose or be encouraged to use.
