
Pupils have to deduce from a range of visual clues of castles they will see around them, the uses to which castles are put today and then to consider, using a simple debate, whether the country’s money should be spent preserving old buildings at a time when people are struggling to stay healthy and make ends meet.
Using techniques such as Mantle of the Expert, Influence cards and Conscience Alley ensures pupils are able to make well-informed contributions to the debate.
